In a desire for a career change, Monica started taking accounting courses in 2000. She started working in the accounting field in 2001 and began working for Larry in 2005. Initially it was casually helping him with work overflow (to be at home as much as possible with 3 little ones), and in 2010 she was able to park her motorcycle at the office full-time.
In 2018 Monica achieved her designation, Chartered Professional Accountant. Yep, do the math, 18 years!! But this worked for her, she was able to work, go to school, and be a wife and mom to her three amazing kids (who are now 2 adults and 1 teenager).
They live on a small farm just outside of town with their German Shepherd Rico and 4 adopted cats. (she cannot foster any more cats, as she falls in love and can’t bring herself to return them to the shelter).
The best thing Monica loves about her job is helping her clients navigate their tax situations, each one being unique, and ensuring the best outcome for them.
Mandy grew up in Simcoe, Ontario. She has worked at LRH for 7 years. In this time, she has graduated from Laurentian University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree, and has been slowly working at obtaining her CPA. When she isn't at work, Mandy loves spending time with her family or traveling with her son. Together they have visited 12 different countries, with hopes of seeing many more in the years to come.
Valerie graduated from the Accounting and Payroll Specialist program at Trios College in 2019 and started working at LRH in March of that year. Since then, she has become a Payroll Compliance Practitioner, certified with the Canadian Payroll Association.
Valerie is currently enrolled in university, taking the Bachelor of Commerce program, with a major in accounting. Working toward a CPA designation.
She is hard working and dedicated to helping clients with their accounting needs. That includes everything from personal income tax, bookkeeping/payroll for small businesses, corporations and not for profit organizations.
Laurie was born and raised in Norfolk County working on tobacco farms for her father. After high school, Laurie attended Mohawk College where she obtained her 2-year Accounting Diploma. She has worked in manufacturing, agricultural (parts, sales, service and financing) and industrial environments; working her way up from entry level Bookkeeper to Office Manager in each business. She joined the team at Larry R. Hemeryck in October, 2019.
Since starting at LRH, Laurie has gained valuable knowledge and experience in many areas including accounting, payroll, personal and corporate tax. She is very proficient in Quickbooks Desktop, Quickbooks Online and Sage 50.
A large portion of Laurie’s work involves bookkeeping for several clients. To Laurie, an important aspect of any client relationship is keeping an open, comfortable connection with plenty of communication.
Outside of work, Laurie enjoys travelling to Florida, staying active and spending time with family, friends and her dogs.

Kathy is the glue that holds us all together. Her smiling demeanor will greet you at our front desk.
When not at work, Kathy is at home with her pups or devoting time to the Simcoe Lynn Valley Lions, a group that she is very passionate about.
Shelley was born and raised just down the road in Tillsonburg. She obtained her diploma in Business Administration - Accounting from Niagara College in 1995. Making the decision to raise her 3 kids is one she'll never regret. "MOM are the best letters to have after my name" she says. She worked in accounting for 23 years as her own boss and then began working for Larry in October 2018. She took a position closer to home for a spell but then figured out just where she belonged.
She believes in open and honest communication and in educating her clients so that they can make the best decisions possible.
