About Larry

Larry Hemeryck has owned and operated his Tax Service office in Simcoe, Ontario since January 2005.


He started working for a large regional public accounting firm in Simcoe Ontario in 1973, one of the top 30 accounting firms in Canada. Larry obtained his CGA (Certified General Accountant) designation in 1979, CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation in 1998, CAFA (Certified Agricultural Farm Advisor) in 2010 and his CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) in 2014. He was the account manager for a multitude of personal, business and audit engagements before starting up his own practice, Larry also taught accounting courses and tax at Fanshawe College in Simcoe and various courses for CGA-Ontario. He is co-author of the annual CGA Personal Tax Planning Guide since 1995 and a member of the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors (CAFA). Currently treasurer of the Regina Mundi Catholic High School Bursary Fund in London, the Downtown Simcoe Business Improvement Area and past treasurer of the Simcoe and District Chamber of Commerce, Long Point World Biosphere Reserve Foundation and the OFAH (Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters) Norfolk Division, and sat on the boards of Scouts Canada, CGA-Ontario Audit Committee, the board of CGA Ontario-London Chapter, and has been a director and past chair of Norfolk Mutual Insurance Company since 1998.


Having worked and lived in Simcoe and the surrounding area since 1973, he still finds time for his lovely wife of 40 years, three children and their life long mates, who are all grown and have children of their own.


Honesty, integrity,and continuing knowledge are integral qualities he still keeps to this day.
